There was so much to see and a big souvenir shop. We missed some of it because we had to catch our bus.

Worth every dollar to visit this wonderful museum. The Cyclorama gave you the feeling that you were on the battlefront. An amazing experience that only the Americans could achieve - big and proper with every detail perfect. Go see it for yourself, you will leave with a tear in your eye.

For a quick intro to the timeline, this is adequate. There is a lot of empty space, but what they do have is in amazing condition. They have a theater and special exhibit room, but you must pay to see these. Even the main exhibit required tickets. If you have plenty of time (possibly two days), then you should go... More

This is the most complete Civil War museum I've been to. It is huge....and you can't do it justice in one trip. If you are into the Civil War, this is a must. Also, take a guided tour. The Park Rangers put the pieces together to the whole battle makes sense. Do make reservations in advance for the tour.

Immaculate and informative visitor's center with extensive gift shop, Cyclorama (a unique experience), and museum. Some fees for some experiences. Visitor amenities include an attractive cafeteria. Come early if driving and close-to-center parking is desired. We attended a free Saturday morning children's story hour and were very pleased. The rangers and volunteers had good control of the young audience and built... More

The visitors center has changed so much and for the better. The Cyclorama really depicted what happened in Gettysburg. Great facility. This is a very educational facility and a great start to visiting the battlefields in Gettysburg.
