Lots of information and things to look at. Did not go into museum, massive book store with wide choice of titles and very helpful staff.

This is a beautiful facility with a ton of information and exhibits. The only downside, it's actually privately run and costs $12.50 a person to enter and a National Park Pass won't get you in. We didn't pay for the museum as we decided to spend our time exploring the battlefield itself. If I had more time here I might... More

A thoroughly detailed museum on the Civil War - one of the best anywhere. Excellent exhibits. The film is okay for those not familiar with the battle. The Cyclorama - 100 ft. circular painting of the battle - is still magnificent after a century.

So much to see and do here. The cyclorama was awesome! The museum artifacts are great! We took a bus tour to Eisenhower's Estate from here too. Great gift shop and lunch too.

We stop every time we're in Gettysburg and still learn something new! Well done Parks Service! The battlefield guides are great - so knowledgeable, interesting, and make history truly come to life.

The museum has so much to offer. The film was very informative. The cyclorama was inspiring and all encompassing. The museum is well appointed with displays and films throughout. A definite must see to learn of our nation's civil war.

As someone who has knowledge about Gettysburg this is a brilliant place to start in the area. I highly recommend the film and cyclorama which give civil war novices like me an insight in to the war and battle. The staff are brilliant, and happy to help with any questions.

For those of you that have never been to Gettysburg start here first! I called ahead and set up a personalized tour in our car with a certified guide for my family of five! He drove us around for two hours while we learned all about the battle. It was perfect in every way! I suggest doing this first, and... More

The key to these historical parks is having a good and interactive visitor center and this one meets the criteria. This is a great starting place to any tour of Gettysburg and really does a nice job of laying the foundation for the rest of the visit.

Quite a large and impressive complex. The cyclorama painting is a must-see and the artifact collection is very well done.
