The railroad station is on the shores of the Hudson River and has a very small park beside it. You can park your car and use the park, however, there are train tracks between you and the river so you really can't go to the river! We just drove in and drove out.

Neat old train station. Lincoln was here (alive and dead), FDR used this stop while in office to get to his home nearby. Its currently a Poke-Stop and a Gym for you Pokemon Go players. Open Monsay evenings, they have model train, slot cars, refreshments and are pet friendly. Nice, quick diversion with a great view of the Hudson.

For individuals interested in FDR, a quick trip down to the train station is worthwhile. Before we traveled to Hyde Park, my husband and I read FDR's Funeral Train. The book highlights the difficulty encountered by funeral attendees in getting from the train station up the hill to the home where the service took place. After driving to the train... More

We stopped at this old train station. The train station was open so we could walk out onto the loading area and watch for the trains. It was very nice and historical. The view from the train station was beautiful as you could see onto the Hudson River and see the ships. We stayed and got a beautiful view of... More

I can only imagine how cool it was back in the day. Today it is closed but Amtrak still runs past but does not stop. The location is beautiful on the Hudson. A quick stop and onto other attractions

We drove by the train station. There isn't much to see. It isn't open. There are some old railroad signs and the view is nice. It takes five minutes to see it and drive off the main route highway 9. We enjoyed the quick stop.

I would have to tell you that this is used for storage and to fuel park service trucks. I was told that it is staffed by volunteers but on several tries not one was to be seen. There are no signs with hours or explanation. It is a beautiful old building and worth the walk around to view the architecture.

Unless you are taking the train, this is not a station to admire and photograph. It is about 2 minutes from the main drag, but really not worth the effort.

The train station has very limited hours, and we couldn't get in to see anything inside it. We didn't call ahead or check the hours before we drove there (in our travels around Hyde Park), so that was our problem, but it would've been fun to see their displays.
