Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to provide a safe, loving, forever home for endangered big cats, and to educate the public about their plight in the wild and captivity. We do not breed, sell, or trade any of our animals. Our current residents include tigers, lions, cougars, leopards, bobcats, foxes, and coatimundis (the last two are "honorary cats"). We are only open on select days, and last admittance is 45 minutes before closing, so please check our website for the most up-to-date information.

This is a hidden gem! Even people that live here are unaware but if you have been lucky enough to visit you want to share with everyone! Informative staff, upfront viewing! You have to go when they have a night feeding, the sounds of the big cats are something you would not hear at the zoo!

I have heard about this place for several years and have always wanted to go but could never get family commit so with everyone home from college over Christmas break, it was a perfect time! We enjoyed the tour. it was informational and fun. And exciting during feeding time!

The animals are amazing. The staff at the Catty Shack is very knowledgeable about each animal and their history. Each tour is a guided tour with enough time to see each animal. When I went with my family we were amazed to actually hear a lion roar. These large cats aren't like the sickly, sleepy ones you see at the... More

My husband and I came for the evening feeding. We were shown a short video, then given a tour prior to the feeding, introducing us to each animal and telling us how each animal came to their facility. This is an amazing place with amazing people taking care of them. Catty Shack is big cat sanctuary (they have non-feline residence... More

How cool is this Sanctuary and the folks that run it. I am a resident and just stumbled across this beautiful place (thanks to Trip Advisor) and WOW - I fell in love. I am actually thinking to volunteer here. What a great experience. A must see for young and old. They have a golf cart if you would prefer... More

This is a great venue to visit. I think we underestimate the wonderful relationship that humans can make with even the most feared predators of the wild. This is a sanctuary. Many species of great cats are threatened due to habitat destruction. You will be able to learn and admire them up close at Catty Shack Ranch.

We came for the nighttime feeding. While it was crowded and had a lot of children, it was so much fun. They give guided tours of all of the animals before they feed them. When they are preparing the food is the best part because the lions and tigers start to growl and roar. Definitely worth checking out, and it's... More

This special area is open only just to view feeding two nights a week. This is not a Zoo type area but a very specialized place for the large felines to live out their lives. The feeding is exciting and very safe to see with small children. These are still wild cats, but all were born in captivity. I highly... More

We were surprised at this wildlife preserve and the stories told by the guides. The kids were amazed and mesmirised by the variety of animals and their habitats. The guides provided an up close tale of how the various cats arrived and how they lived in the wild. The guides were very knowledgeable and were patient in answering all the... More
