I can't believe I was volunteering at the building next door to this museum for 10 days and knew nothing about it! Had I known....my wife and I came for an off Broadway show and spent some time at the museum today. What a great place where art and various types of exhibits reside. Many sculptures, oils, sketches, bronze, along... More

The gardens have azaleas and camelias blooming right now. They are very pretty to walk through and enjoy the nice weather. The art exhibits are interesting. It was a busy day with 5 bus loads of little kids. They have activities for small children and a kids area that was very busy. They have a cafe too.

The Cummer has an excellent, diverse permanent collection of art, which it complements with wonderful special exhibitions. The ambience of the gallery and the surrounding gardens, along with an excellent café on premises, makes for an enjoyable day outing. Highly recommended.

I have visited the Cummer Museum and been a member for virtually my entire life. I am never disappointed. A wonderful rotation of new exhibits and the large permanent collection in a world-class environment. The gardens, overlooking the St. Johns River, are worth the visit all unto themselves. Highly Recommended.

No trip to Jacksonville is complete unless you visit the Cummer Museum. It is certainly the crowning jewel of the city. This quaint outstanding museum overlooks the St. John River as one aimlessly wanders in the most beautiful gardens in Florida. The special exhibits are hip, timely and impressive. The permanent collections are spectacular and range from different periods of time.... More

I usually visit in March hoping the gardens are in bloom. It is very peaceful walking the gardens along the river.

My children and I have made it a monthly tradition to visit the Cummer on Free Tuesdays. They love looking at the exhibits and walking through the gardens. We can't get through the whole garden without snapping at least 20 pictures. We love the kids area, which is both fun and educational. It allows my kids to use their creativity.... More

Has an amazing collection of classical, modern, and american art. Gardens are worth seeing also. Many short term exhibitions. Great restaurant. Children's section. Great scenic view of the St. John's River.

I've been coming here for over 40 years. For many years I didn't even know who these people were that could not only afford such an elegant house on the St. Johns River, but would gift it to the people. Now I know, and their story is quiet fascinating. My wife's best friend had her engagement photos taken here, and... More
