Overnight stop on Florida road trip. Nicely separated camp pitches, friendly and helpful ranger staff. Camp site is beautiful, as is the State park across A1A. Toilet and shower block tired, but very clean. Bring everything you need, as nothing locally. Mosquitoes fierce too! Suggest...More

Talbot Island is often overlooked by visitors who stop at Fernandina Beach or go on to Jacksonville Beach. That is fine if you are looking for the excitement of a beach town with lots of shopping or beach restaurants and bars. If you just want...More

I went by myself to go fishing. I had a really good time just getting away from all the crowds Jacksonville has to offer. The area is beautiful and the beaches are as well. It is a great place to catch whiting, trout, redfish, drum,...More

We enjoyed our stay and the park didn't fail. Great campsite, amenities (showers, clean bathrooms, great staff). The kids loved it and our camping neighbors were very social.

Well maintained park with boardwalks. It is not overly manicured so it feels very natural. It is usually quiet, but can get packed on the holidays. Go and enjoy!

It is a drive but it is worth it. Outdoor showers and clean bathrooms are everywhere. No crowd ever. Just don't venture out too far into the surf and run for cover (go home) when it storms. You don't want to be the tallest item...More

There are plenty of free beach access opportunities, but I will gladly pay the $5 entry fee to access the tranquil, clean beaches at Talbot. Before you visit, be aware that the southern most beach is fishing only, NO swimming/wading due to strong currents. There...More
