My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful time camping at Little Talbot Island State Park. It is an absolutely beautiful place and, for us (from South Florida), a completely different world! They have hiking and bike rentals within the park, and there are nearby places that rent kayaks and things like that. We found it to be a very... More

I visited Little Talbot Island back in the early 1970s and have lived in four states since then. Now we are back in Florida and we bought a family pass to Florida State Parks. We have now been back to Little Talbot Island twice in two weeks. It is secluded with 4 to 5 boardwalks to the beach; lots of... More

There are some restrooms, outdoor showers, grills and pavilions, but all on the west side of the dunes, not obstructing the natural miles and miles of pristine beach. The flat, firm... More

We found Little Talbot to be a perfect venue for camping with our friends. So much to do right there with pristine beaches, driftwood beaches, rivers for fishing and kayaking, trails for biking and hiking, bath houses with hot showers, and water at each campsite. Mosquitos were a little fierce so come prepared.

One of the most beautiful places in Florida. Pristine beaches and a fine nature trail that takes you through a magnificent old growth Oak hammock, large dunes, and opens onto a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean. One caution, on the trail the mosquitoes can be fierce. Any time except the dead of winter, be sure to use plenty of... More

Just a great place to enjoy nature in a non commercial atmosphere. Bring your lunch, a chair, your camera and soak up the memories.

I took the long hike through the woods and ended up at the beach. I followed the beach back to the parking area. Great hike with slight to moderate elevation changes. Not a strenuous hike but you do work out the calves walking in the sand. For the beach portion, make sure you time it for low tide as this... More
