This is a 300 acre preserve along the San Pablo River. The paths and trails take you around a marsh so if you go in the summer you may be eaten alive by bugs. We were there in January so were not bothered. We also...More

This preserve is in the heart of the city. The trails and boardwalks were nice and some birding was available. Nice place to enjoy some nature if you are staying close to Mayo Clinic,

Our family loves to go on nature walks. This is close to home and a beautiful local park. Trail leads out to Intercoastal Waterway.

I love this park, great little hikes near the intercoastal waterway. I do recommend having bug spray available~ because it's on the water. Generally a quiet little escape, there are facilities for kids, picnicking, clean bathrooms, hiking paths, small watercraft launch, boardwalk trails too.

The trails are limited in number and length but are very well marked with educational information regarding the flora and fauna. The shade is limited so take a hat and water.

Hello - I have never seen a snake while I was there, and I walk my 3 Shih Tzu's. Most snakes we have here are not poisonous; you do want to stay on the walk ways. There are also areas for grilling out, etc.
