Being a military history nut and particularly intersted in coastal artillery atteries, this was a must see. All the old batteries are great to visit and the Fort Stevens museum is top notch!

I know this is probably too late, but yes all of the cabins have fire pits.

I agree with Kevin but also think it best to use the designated camping areas for security and safety.

Nope. If you are looking for this type of camping the KOA across the street has good (not great) wifi and cable TV connections.
