Museum it's not too small and not too big. It's floors are filled with wonderful fabulous collections. There are always special collections being shown so that you never get bored. The gift shop is clean and nice. This is one of my favorite museums to go to in Baltimore.

I saw an add for an exhibition at this museum, Feast for the Senses, and it sounded interesting. My wife and I decided to drive up from DC area for a Saturday afternoon/evening date with dinner after museum. Actually quite an impressive collection of art donated to Baltimore by the Walters. The actual exhibit was only so so, but the... More

An important collection and highly recommended museum- top rated in the city. Situated in an interesting neighborhood, and visitors will have the opportunity to walk around several historic buildings and churches.

Over the decades I have seen many, many objects from Medieval Europe. This was the first time such objects were put in a context that made sense to me as opposed to just being beautiful. For example, I could see “smell” and “sound.” I also give top grades for mounting. The audio clips were appropriate and not intrusive. Children will... More

A huge impressive collection that’s incredibly diverse! It’s amazing that two people selected all of that art. Clearly they had money to burn, but I appreciate their investment in the arts. The museum stays open late on Thursdays, which is nice. It wasn’t crowded, and there were a few people sketching in some of the galleries. The area is serviced... More

Eyptian wing, Roman crypts, art from the beautiful Byzantine era (which was my favorite section). The gorgeous 2 story courtyard with a life size 'David' by you guessed it Michelangelo.. (sorry... Decided to see more of Baltimore than the Inner Harbor and Little Italy. And what a superb surprise the Walters Museum turned out to be! The collection accumulated by a father and son exhibits art, sculptures, and artifacts covering some 4000 years. It includes masterworks of ancient Egypt, Greek sculpture and Roman sarcophagi, medieval ivories, illuminated manuscripts, Renaissance bronzes, Old... More
