I live in DC and I love Greek and Roman sculpture. Sadly, these aren't compatible as there isn't a museum with sculpture from that period in the District. The Walters has a terrific collection which is well laid out. The Asian art area is also outstanding.

This gem in the Mt. Vernon district of Baltimore is set in a historic structure, surrounded by majestic architecture. The collection is varied and spans centuries. A must see if you're in Baltimore. Restaurants nearby for any taste/budget.

The Walters is a relatively small museum with a lot of charm and unique exhibitions. Very good after an afternoon stroll in Baltimore to relax and enjoy unusual pieces of art and art exhibits.

The Walters is easy to get to by public transport, my personal favorite, and is conveniently located in the Mt. Vernon neighborhood near the Peabody. It's beautiful inside and has some really different displays included lots of armaments from different periods. This was more of a spontaneous drop-in rather than a planned outing and we were pleasantly surprised!

Open until 9pm on Thursdays. A good array of different styles and artifacts. They offer a free audio guide too. 4 floors of exhibits set up in historical periods.

This is a local art museum with a few nice pieces. The collection is quite limited but the setting is gorgeous and the displays very nicely done.

Wonderful free museum with plenty to see and do. Uncrowded and very well spaced out. Great gift store and very helpful staff. Something for everyone here.
