We loved this place. There are multiple buildings, and we only made it through the main one, but would've loved to see more. There's a lovely cafe on the top level for a pleasant break in viewing. So much visual stimulation! Great for sparking conversations with our teens! It's a pleasant walk around the Inner Harbor and the area, too.... More

Lots of cool art to check out. It is a very unique museum. They have a cool section that you can touch and move stuff. Interactive. Great experience!

We visited the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore and were wowed by the colorful mosaics, the YUMMM! exhibit -- a display on the history and future of food (on display through September 3, 2017) and the story of artist Matt Sesow, whose work is shown in the main building through May 28, 2017. My teenage "cultured" daughter enjoyed the... More

Absolutely one of the most interesting and unique collections of art. We went on Mother's Day and spent hours reading about the pieces and enjoying the experience. I will go again because it is obvious that you cannot take it all in at one time!

A one of a kind place to visit! Lots of arts and crafts and fresh local art to be acknowledged. My absolute fav is the gift shop which includes, books, jewelry and just out and out strange stuff. It draws you in to peruse and stay a while. Kudos to this place

We planned on an hour, but spent much longer. The art is fresh, innovative, fun. I only wish they sold prints of some of my favorites. The gift shop is wonderful, an experience in itself. Consists of two buildings, three stories. Elevator available. Allow at least two hours.

Plenty to see and think about with the biographies of the artists included with some of the exhibits.

This is a very interesting place. Kind of an arts and crafts museum with all sorts of wierd stuff. Like toothpick sculptures, Rube Goldberg apparati etc. Kids will love it and big kids too.

This is a fantastic museum for lovers of art and humanity of all ages. It's also a great place to take a class or check out the Kinetic Sculpture Race the first Saturday of May! Love it!

Big fans of outsider art. We were not disappointed. Especially enjoyed Matt Sesow's floor. Spent a couple hours exploring the two buildings and grounds.
