Great street performers, shopping (H&M and Sugar!!!) and many sights to see. We got to go to the German Christmas Festival - really got us into the Christmas spirit. So much fun!

Wonderful place to relax and unwind. You can talk a leisurely walk around and see the boats. There are various harbor cruises that are available for taking rides around the harbor. From time to time there are special old ships that dock in the harbor where you can go aboard for a very interesting tour. The area is very nice... More

I love visiting Inner Harbor because it is so relaxing! We enjoyed walking around and eyeing the boats. We enjoyed seeing the kids ice skating and walking near the water is peaceful. Ee especially enjoyed walking by the water in the morning when it was quiet.

Wanted to see the historic ships of the Inner Harbor of Baltimore. Went aboard the USS Constellation, and the USS Tursek. Both involved quite a bit of climbing up steep stairs and some tight quarters. But was definitely worth the trip. Wish I was able to move more readily, wanted to do the coast guard ship and the lighthouse but... More

There are many tourists there in the summer but at lunch time you will see many of the office workers come with their bagged lunches and sit on the steps and enjoy their lunch. I lived in Balto and the inner harbor is an attraction for us that live there too!. It's wonderful to go to dinner at night with the family or to go and just sit and watch the boats and the bands that play outside. Some people even dance. The Orioles baseball stadium is right there and its a magnificent field. Fort Mchenry is a great place for school age children and show them right where Francis Scott Key was when he wrote the star bangled banner and the bunkers that were built to watch for the enemy. Field trips from area school's took us as a classroom there many times. A boat tour takes you up one side and down the other of the Chesapeake and tells you all the history along the way. Even takes you over an underground tunnel that cars go thru everyday. They built those fantastic hotels in walking distance for the tourist and the prices are not outrages. The big aquarium is there plus you are only 1 hour from DC to take in all the sights and history that has been preserved there. Most places people go on vacation are touristy so please don't miss out on the inner harbor and also the history of things right there in that city. Fells point is very nice if you like to shop little antique stores. My friend and I had lunch and shopped there many times. It has a huge farmers market with all fresh produce great if you live there. What time of year did you go badbloke? I sorry if you didn't find it pleasant with less people.
