My wife and I often go to Cylburn Arboretum just to walk around the grounds, view the many garden and/or stroll through the woods. This beautiful gardens are free and well worth taking a bit of time to check out. In the spring there is a garden festival selling starter vegetable and flowers for your home garden. Lectures, approximately once... More

I can't believe it took me over 10 years to find out about Cylburn Arboretum! I went hiking here yesterday for the first time and it was a wonderful experience! The hiking trails were well-marked, even with the leaves falling, and the scenery was beautiful. I liked the "deer exclusion zone" fences and, even though there were a considerable number... More

Year round, Cylburn is a great place to get outdoors...quiet trails, diverse plants/trees make it enjoyable even when flowers aren't in bloom...when they are it's amazing!

Friends of ours lost their daughter/sister\niece and chose to have the memorial service at Cylburn Arboretum. The room the service was held in faced the landscaped area and was comforting. Photos of the young woman were displayed on stands. An elevator was available to go from one floor to the next. Even the repast was held there in a section... More

I just found out about this place. We took a great walk in the trails. A gem right here in Baltimore. I can't wait to go back in the spring when everything is blooming. It also looks like they have some class room activities took. We really enjoyed our visit. Located just about 5- 10 min from downtown Baltimore

This is a beautiful area. It's surprising to see in the middle of a large city. The gardens were well maintained and spacious. There is also a wooded area with some trails for moderate hiking. There were some very beautiful flowers blooming in the gardens. We were able to find a few geocaches within the park. It's completely free and... More

This attraction is in the city but not downtown. In the spring it is filled with flowers. Birds also like to stop here for awhile. There are paths taking you through gardens. Also makes for a good destination in the fall.

Cylburn Arboretum was better than I had expected. While it's surrounded by woods with a secluded feel in the city, I didn't notice too many interesting trees. The gardens, however, were excellent. There were so many different types of flowers in bloom in late spring. There are trails for hiking in the woods, too. While it looked open, I didn't... More

I couldn't wait to get to Cylburn. Had wanted to go for over a year. It was really depressing and a huge disappointment. Mansion was obviously beautiful at one time but has not been kept up and has been painted with some awful, obviously cheap paint. The grounds seemed to be in terrible shape. Maybe June is not the time... More
