A must see in the city of Baltimore. Lots of great forms of black history. From slavery, politics to fashion.

We had only a couple of hours before we had to be back to our hotel for an event. We ended up here and spent like 2 hours touring the museum. Great displays, learned so much while we were there. When you walk in downstairs it doesn't look like much, but the good stuff is on the 3rd floor. Would... More

So glad we went here. Someone has put a lot of money into making this a top notch museum. Everything is well done and we enjoyed learning about Black History in Maryland. I'm surprised it has not been reviewed on Trip Advisor as frequently as many other Baltimore destinations. This is definitely worth a visit!

Loved the "Barbie" display along with the photos and Baltimore specific displays. It is worth seeing the opening video when you first arrive.

This place needs to be updated very badly. It's sad because it sits in the middle of all black American section in downtown Baltimore. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone coming to the city for the first time it anytime.
