Went to see a touring production of Something Rotten! while on vacation, and I could not believe the caliber of performance here. I've been to Broadway for several shows, and this was just as good-gorgeous venue, great seating-honestly you'd be hard-pressed for a bad seat here- and the talent was spectacular. I would be here all the time if I... More

We went to see Something Rotten at the Hippodrome. It is a beautiful older theatre. Something Rotten was showing at the St. James in NYC and this place reminded us of our experience when seeing this show on Broadway. Very lovely venue with everything handled beautifully for the best experience.

I like the theatre because it's a short walking distance from our preferred hotel while in Baltimore. We sat in the orchestra, last row - great view, but too far from the stage. The last time we sat in the far left of the balcony - which I didn't like at all. I recommend sitting within the first half of... More

Even though the Hippodrome is not in the best of neighborhoods, the theater is remarkable once inside. The acoustics are great and every seat has great views of the stage. I personally would hesitate in going again based strictly on location and the neighborhood, but the facility is great.

My first visit to the Hippodrome and I wasn't at all impressed. Although beautiful and great to see it was very disappointing. We stood in line for drinks for quite a while only to find out that a bottle of water is $4 and when she handed it to me it was HOT. I said I am paying $4 for... More

Good theater...there could be more leg room at the seats- but you get what you get with an older theater. The sound was great and it was easy to get to/from. Walk in a group when you leave.

Went to see Celtic Woman and loved the theatre. Beautifully done, great seats in the orchestra section, although a little tight. I was told by a frequent guest that the balcony seating is even tighter.

The theater is old and beautifully restored. Be careful of seats on the far left and right of the stage. Some are obstructed views, and the box office doesn't indicate when you purchase tickets. Bathrooms are large, and exits plenty and wide.

The Hippodrome is a fantastic theater with very easy access. Parking deck for $10, walk right in. Grand Suites are excellent seats. Friendly staff.

LOVE Lewis Black! Have seen him many times in MD & DC, 1st time @ the Hippodrome. Like someone said early - so many details in the architecture inside! They do tours on Mondays, I may go to find out what all those things were that I was staring at. WIDE SEATS: Ok, ok... RELATIVELY speaking for an old theater.... More
