If you are in Baltimore for the holidays you must take a drive through Hamden. The neighbors go to great pains to outdo each other with their Christmas displays. It's so bright, you'd think it's daytime. You have to see the house with the toy...More

You've got to check out this town if you're touring Balto (or if you're in Balto and have never been). It's got a special vibe with old school and new eateries, stores, signage, with a variety people who live, work, and shop there. Lots of...More

Our daughter lives in Hampden and it is an easy walk up to the shops. There are several little shops and stores to explore. Be sure to take in the ice cream at the Charmery. The Junque shop is quite a place.

It was inhabited by the original family until it was sold to the park service. The property is lovely. They picked a choice location.

We have visited several of the restaurants, Miss Shirley’s and Cafe Hun more than once. Good food and great staff!

Hampden is like the Austin of Maryland. Weird and delightful. Great food, clothing shops, and antique stores. Try the Charmery for an awesome ice cream cone. Or go to La Garage for some French inspired food (the French Cubano is amazing and the Family Mule...More

This is a charming neighborhood in Baltimore; old row houses turned into shops, cherry trees lining the street and ice cream on the corner...The Charmery! The shoe store was a fun stop (forget the name) and they have candy as well!

Hampden area of Baltimore is an area that has been revitalized. There are lots of good restaurants and great boutique stores. You can find everything from Vintage to contemporary.

Walked around today. Loved some of the stores. Was disappointed about some of the closed stores that have been closed for a while. Found some gems and found some cheesy stuff as well. Best store visited: Mud and Metal. Common Ground is an anchor store...More

sorry I didn't see your question last week. Most places can handle a table for 8. I would go to the Café Hun, though very busy they have large tables, good service, kid friendly, and a family friendly menu.

I suggest Google a map or look at a hotel site for this information. I cannot answer. Ithis is not something I lookout for on a business trip.
