I am from the south and I rarely see Cathedrals as old or as beautiful as this. There is a suggestion donation, but they also sell lovely postcards with profession pictures that you can buy to help with the expensive up keep of so grand a church. I am not religious but this place made me feel something special. The... More

This church will absolutely take your breath away. Take time to appreciate the details. Make sure you pick up a brochure that guides you through and explains each detail.

We walked to St. John's sunday morning and stayed for mass. They were extremely welcoming even though I had my day pack and we were dressed for walking all day. Mass was beautiful and the Bishop was stellar. The church is stunning.

It was a nice warm place. Cathedral was probably restored and re-painted but internally it has the vintage architecture. one of the best cathedral I have visited in USA.

Gorgeous church, well maintained. Being a devout catholic and lover of religious architecture, I had to stop in. A beautiful peaceful place of worship. I do wish they offered either guided tours or more knowledgeable docents. However your free to explore the building on your own during the day as long as mass is not taking place.

A must see! Gorgeous church. We love visiting here, soaking in the inspirational beauty and history of this magnificent church. However there was a very rude older woman seated right inside the door. She yelled at us telling us to leave because there were people worshiping. There were people there walking around just like we were. Very ugly behavior! Our... More

Just missed mass but was able to tour freely afterwards. Beautiful structure. Lit a prayer candle and took some great pictures.

You will not be disappointed when you visit this magnificent cathedral. Seated in the heart of the Historic District in downtown Savannah it presents a walk back in time. The beautiful stained glass windows are a must see. It is a unique experience!
