This is a bustling, yet peaceful and beautiful oasis. Artists set up their easels here, photographers shoot the gorgeous fountain and street musicians play their instruments. Wide open fields provide running space for children or romantic picnic sites.

This park is beautiful and well kept. Very peaceful. Enjoyed visiting as part of the 10k steps self guided tour listed in one of the Savannah guides

All of the squares in Savannah are beautiful and have some sort of history attached to them. We learned a lot on this trip.

shady, cooling fountain with a bench to sit on allows the weary a pleasant spot to take a break in the city. there are many parks downtown but this is perhaps the most well known.

Savannah is jam packed with pretty squares but Lafayette square is one of the most attractive and good place for a little rest by the fountain.

We are lunch at Lafayette Square while visiting the Girl Scout First Headquarters and the Andrew Low House. At the time we were there, the fountain was drained and not working. I'm not sure if it was broken or just emptied for cleaning, but unfortunate...More

Can't be a prettier backdrop for a beautiful, outdoor, historic Savannah wedding. Complete with gorgeous trees, and a trickling fountain.
