This was probably our favorite stop in Savannah. The fort is beautiful and on the water only about 15 min from historic downtown. The fort is one of the best I’ve seen as far as authenticity and information. Aaron was the soldier who gave us...More

Make sure you have a tour guide take you around. They are very informative and it is exciting when you get to see and hear a live cannon fired off. The history alone about Old Fort Jackson was very interesting.

We visited this fort with friends and had the extra bonus as the local arts college had a class there working on sound recordings. Great guides added to the experience.

This one is much smaller than Fort Pulaski but it's still awesome and they fire a cannon here daily. They also have a guide that tells you about the history of Old Fort Jackson, I'm not really into guided tours so I opted out and...More

Cannon firing presentations include a history of the site and its significance. When kids visit, we try to make our programming as interactive as possible, including mock drill and marching.
