Former Girl Scout? It's a MUST!

I was a GS from the earliest age, through college. I met my husband by selling him a box of cookies. (We were both teens). Any trip to Savannah HAD to include this visit. I learned so much about Juliette and her family, her talents, her life, all very interesting! The room set aside for girls, is equally interesting and... More

This is, admittedly, not a great museum for those not familiar with or interested in Girl Scouts. However, for those who are or were Scouts, it is a must see. They have done a lovely job creating a small but thorough history of Girl Scouts in this renovated carriage house. There are original uniforms, a brief movie and scrapbooks to... More

I was asked to chaperone my granddaughters troop for a trip to the birthplace. The guides are very informative and held the attention of the girls. It is a great place to visit, not just for Girl Scouts.

We toured the house as part of the Ghost & Gravestones ghost tour. The house has a lot of history and is supposedly haunted. There are a lot of antiques and the house is quite beautiful. Anyone that has been in the Girl Scouts would probably enjoy touring the house.

Our family really enjoyed this facility. Even though several of us never were Girl Scouts. Ms. Lowe was an amazing woman. Learned a lot about her that we didn't know.

Loved visiting the childhood home of the founder of the Girl Scouts. Learned what a great artist she was as well as the health issues she suffered and the marriage she endured. An amazing woman ahead of her time.

Being a former Girl Scout as a child, I love this tour! Even my husband did. We were very lucky enough to have a private tour because we were the only people there at time due to the Veterans Day parade in town. Kate was our tour guide and she is SO full of knowledge and knows anything and everything... More

I have previously toured the Birthplace but the last time the outside was behind scaffolding and the library more of the period. Today the exterior is fully visible and lovely. The library has been updated to permit an interactive experience for girls and contains books about girls and women and guests are permitted to explore the shelves and learn more... More
