Stayed at the Hilton directly across the street from the park. The park itself is nice BUT, Homeless hang out there and anyone demonstrating does it in the park. The one day we were at the park there was a recovering drug and alcohol concert...More

Esther Short is a very pleasant oasis in downtown Vancouver; There are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and little boutiques nearby should you want to walk around the area. Several fun events are held in the park throughout the year.

Lots of activities here, and many of them are free. Food, Music, Crafts. There are interesting points of historical interest, and fun stuff for kids, especially the children' playground and wading "stream".

Difficult parking, ample grounds for picking, but no bbqing. I would not chose this park again for my day out.

Ester Short use to have a sketchy reputation but due the efforts of Vancouver citizen it is a lovely park. There are movies and concerts all summer long! The Farmers Market runs along one side of the park and is an event in itself!

You will love the huge deciduous trees, not many parks are like this anymore. It's right around a square of quaint businesses and eateries. Waterpark section for children, great place for a picnic, or just a nice stroll around the park .

Back in the day this park use to be a dump with transients using it as a campsite. You wouldn't want to be down there at night. However, a few years back the city decided to change this. It's now a very nice park that...More
