We went for the one hour tour, and I could have easily been happy with more. We arrived about noon on a clear, windless, cold (about -20) day with not a cloud in the bright blue sky. Even though we were wearing layers of polar fleece and down, we accepted the staff's offer to provide us with insulated bib overalls,... More

Thank you for your kind words! It's always colder than you think when you're out on the trail for an hour, so we do our best to keep you comfortable... We're proud of our mushers who truly live the life they share with you. Each shares their own personal experience with their dogs. They do like to talk about their... More

This is the best thing to do in all of Fairbanks. First class operation and a ton of fun. Kevin, our musher, was extremely nice. The "warming yurt" was very warm and comfortable. Very easy to find. We had a great time and highly recommend this.

Thank you for the first class rating! We work with an exceptional group of dogs and mushers that take fun very seriously...In my nearly 20 years of business, I've learned that you're only as good as the people you hire - so find the outstanding professionals and get out of their way :) More

We did the mushing school. Leslie was professional, organized and friendly. There is a yurt to warm up in and they have cold weather gear to use if needed. The whole experience was awesome. The training was well done so that once we were on our own sleds we were confident enough to enjoy our run. If you want to... More

Ahh...the mushing school...by far my favorite tour and where I started 20 years ago. The goal is FUN, and instilling confidence is "key"! Not every tour is for everyone - As you'll notice, you can't 'online book' a mushing school. I always like to talk to people before signing them on for this tour. A keen sense of balance and... We did the 3+ hour mushing school and was so glad we did.We were staying at the Hampton Inn with no car so we were able to pay extra for RT transportation. They dressed us for the cold, we met the dogs and we received instructions. We went on a short ride in the basket while the musher mushed. Half way... More

My wife and I went to Paws for Adventure for a dog sledding adventure, but left with a better understanding of the work put forth by the Paws for Adventure staff. Not only was our dog sledding adventure fun and exciting (the 1 hour ride), we learned what it takes to make everything happen. We went on a day when... More

Fabulous experience! Our sled ride was great! Our musher, Spender, was very helpful and knowledgeable and made our ride even better. Murphy, a tag-along dog was an added plus. He sat on our laps while our pictures were taken and seemed a little put off that he had to get off of us for the remainder of the ride. The... More

Our family of three did a short trip (about 5 miles) dog mushing adventure. First off, you get to meet and spend as much time with the dogs as you wish. We all fell in love! They are all incredibly sweet and gentle and loving! The sled ride itself was a joy. They have extra clothes and boots to outfit... More

It’s very easy to rate a company when all goes well. When there are snags in the plans, that’s when it sometimes can get tricky. However, this company rectified a misunderstanding with class and efficiency. The misunderstanding was minor, in short, it was just in regards to the time we were to be picked up. However, it resulted in us... More

Thank you again for being flexible and making the most of your visit. We don't make a habit of screwing up that badly, but once in a while in the busyness of business we just have to admit we did that wrong, and ask, "How can I make it up to you?". Thanks for sticking with us :) More

Last Tuesday, my husband and I went on the Dinner and Aurora Tour with Paws for Adventure. It was fabulous. First a wonderful dinner at A Taste of Alaska Lodge, Steak for him, Halibut for me, both prepared to perfection. Then on to the dog sled ride after dark. After checking out our attire (which we thought would be more... More

Leslie ( along with her husband Dave) offer different experiences, such as short rides in a dog sled or actually learning how to drive a dog sled. I opted for the three-day overnight tour led by...
