The ice carvings were really quite spectacular and more extensive than I expected. You are provided with heavy coats etc, for the cold so it is not uncomfortable. The highlight id a very expensive Appletini Cocktail in an ice cocktail glass - querky, but a fun thing to do.

Our 8 yr old grandson LOVED the ice sledding. Video showing ice sculptures was quite interesting. Thought the price was a tiny bit too much for what we saw.

Its a nice place but too small for the price of the ticket. This was included in our packaged tour and hence we visited. it has a nice ice bar and lots of photo taking opportunities. If you are visiting Chena hot springs or staying at the hotel at the hot springs then you can visit this museum or else... More

Remarkable sculptures, especially the ice bar. Some sculptures could stand to be refreshed, but overall very well maintained. Appletini is worth the cost because it's so unique.

The tour of the Ice Museum was great. The carvings are amazing and the bedrooms were fun. The best part is the Ice Bar with the Appletinis artistically poured into carved ice glasses. Very fun.

If you are going to Chena Hot springs then you might as well check out the ice museum. There are some cool displays and the apple martini was delish. Make sure you take your martini glass out with you so you can break it on the ground! $15 per person plus $15 for the martini so $30 total but when... More

Probably the highlight was the appletini in the ice glass. It was a relatively short tour as the place is pretty small. You have about 15 minutes to wander and take photos and then some time to sit at the ice bar and sip on the appletini. All-in-all probably a 30 minute tour so my hubby had to down my... More

The Aurora Ice Museum is located outside of Fairbanks by Chena Hot Springs. It is a bit of a drive, but the scenery is amazing. The ice museum is actually breath taking. The sculptures are done by world renowned artists. They have an ice bar where you can sit down to have a drink out of an ice glass and... More

The drive out is great. Lots to see. It is amazing what they do with ice. Very cold do use one of their coats, after 10 minutes you will be glad. Sent the better park of the day walking around the area.

Lovely ice sculptures. It was about 7°F outside when I got there. But the coldness in the museum wasn't too different. But cold still. Our guide gave good information.
