Amazing and well worth the walk. Took us around 30 to 45 min ( I guess) to walk from Brooklyn to Manhattan. Such amazing views from both sides. Cant get enough of the scenery. Amazing photo taking opportunities. Simply sensational !!!!

Yes. You are free to walk across the bridge as you please. It's about 1.3 miles one way. Just be wary of the bike lane, as it can get crowded on foot. Do not walk in the bike lane, that's a huge no-no. Though during the day... More

Should be pretty safe. NYC has become a safe city, but u never know. I have not had any problems, walking the streets at night.
