Home to famous rides like the Cyclone Roller Coaster, the Wonder Wheel and the Parachute Jump, this historic seaside section of Broooklyn is about an hour by train from Manhattan and still boasts a lively boardwalk, beach, and the best hot dogs around.

Stopped by for lunch after church. Train station is close and the attractions are nice. Fun little place to take the family. Expensive food but hey you get a hot dog at the original Nathan's. Beach looked nice but too cold for us.

I have to admit I was a little disappointed with such a historic part of New York. Run down, needing a lick of paint and tacky. However that is part of its charm. If you are expecting theme park qualify you'll be disappointed but if...More

Took the train from Manhattan, which was about 45 minutes. Unfortunately we visited on a weekday and there was very little open even though there was quite a few people around. It looks amazing, so I can only imagine what it would be like when...More

I am probably one of the best people to ask about Coney island. I was raised in C.I..I was raised across the street from the oldest roller coaster in America which still exists. In my lifetime I have witnessed the great days of C.I. to...More

Open everyday during the summer months, but come Sept. you need to check their hours. Almost had a Chevy Chase Vacation due to their Fall hours. Not much to do in this area after summer is over.

Check their schedule – all rides were closed when we visited, but there were still lots of shops and cafes open. You have to try a famous Nathan’s hot dog or corn dog, have an ice-cold beer at Paul’s Daughter, and take a walk on...More

It’s about one hour by train from Manhattan but it’s worth it. You sure have to visit it to go for a walk at the beach and visit the Luna park!!

As far as I know there is nowhere to put your stuff, I suggest carrying a tote bag or rolling luggage so you can carry your stuff comfortably.
