Amazing lights decorating houses around 10th. Avenue from 86th. to 70th. street. Walking is better, so park a few blocks away and walk the lighted streets. After go to bay ridge section between 3rd. and Narrows Avenue around 84 to 71st. Streets, some beautiful lights also.

We heard about the Christmas lights here and thought 'why not' when offered the chance to go on a night excursion to Brooklyn, to see the lights (every house has a 'competition' with neighbours to put on the most extravagant display of lights, costing thousands, along with the thousands spent on electricity to power them) and to view Manhattan and... As improbable as it may seem, I lived in ny for more than 10 years before I heard about this place. It is an incredible experience - an entire community that decorates their houses to the extreme for Christmas. It's a hike from Manhattan but it's worth it. Really puts one in the holiday spirit!

Spectacular Christmas displays. One block where each house has a spectacular display. It is located in Brooklyn on 84th Strret between 11th and 12th Avenue.

It's just not Christmas until one experiences the lights, attractions and brilliant displays at Dyker Heights. Many streets in the neighborhood have endless Christmas decorations and it all becomes a winter wonderland. Each house creates a Christmas story that is unforgettable and it brings back special Christmas memories. All the details, music, colors, and illuminations can best be described as... More

Going to Dyker Heights reminds you of why Brooklyn real estate prices are some of the highest in the country. The homes themselves are beautiful and now add lights to them. The Christmas lights are a real treat and something everyone should experience once. You can either go by car or on foot, but remember if you go by car... More

Best place in the tristate area for Xmas houses. Amazing displays. Been coming here for years and more houses are added in every year. Great displays like the nut cracker and a christmas carol.

We came here on the christmas lights tour and it was amazing! I'm a sucker for christmas lights but it is definitely worth the trip out here. There are some pretty cool houses that are decorated. Just rug up as it could get cold.

Everyone here is on the money about the Dyker Heights Christmas lights. I'm Jewish and love visiting this neighborhood at Christmas! The displays are gaudy, excessive and not in the least sophisticated in the aesthetic sense, but one feels the great dedication and love that goes into the decorations. They truly meet the definition of "spectacular." I'm in awe of... More
