Snooty but nice

Park Slope is a great historic neighborhd. People tend to be a a bit snooty not sure really why. Otherwise nice.

I Love Kickboxing Park Slope is amazing! When I took my first class, I was nervous that I wasn’t in shape enough to make it through, however, I ended the class with a feeling of empowerment and strength. I was paired with an instructor who showed me all of the moves and helped perfect my form which made it less... More

Park Slope is probably the best residential neighborhood in New York, friendly to couples, singles, families and visitors. If you stay in Brooklyn, I recommend this neighborhood 100%. Seventh Avenue is full of quirky shops and fine dining keep residents and tourists engaged, while Fifth Avenue has quicker, cheaper, diverse options. It is a Metro ride straight into Manhattan. Elegant... More

Someone needs to get out there and start picking up the winter mess. Yuck! It was noticeable and distracting.

This is a beautiful area of Brooklyn, very relaxed and safe, gay friendly. There are lots of interesting restaurants, coffee shops, bars and shops, and prospect park is a must to visit. The only downside is it's pretty expensive (though generally high quality so you are getting your money's worth) and a bit painfully hipster at times.

The Park Slope area is really great! The brownstones are beautiful and the side streets are peaceful and homey. 5th Ave, which runs straight through has lots of good eats (Japanese, Italian, French, Peruvian, Thai - anything your heart desires!). If I were to ever consider moving to Brooklyn, Park Slope would be at the top of my list!

We are enjoying a delightful vacation rental on 6th Ave. in Brooklyn, close to the park. So many families, restaurants, shops...plus easy access to Manhattan!

If in Brooklyn do not miss the largest historic district: Park Slope. At least 35 residential beautiful blocks with very elegant homes. The architecture styles found can be: Queen Anne, Italianate, Neo-Grec and French Second Empire. Every May a House Tour is held giving you the chance to see inside some of the gorgeous home in the area.

The Park, the neighborhood, the restaurants, especially the many places for great brunches, all make this a great neighborhood for visitors and residents.

So many restaurants to choose from all different types of places. Most restaurants and bars are family friendly! Prospect park is close by.. so walk on over for a picnic or a bike ride! Also farmers markets, flea markets and outdoor festivals during the warmer months!!!
