The brooklyn side of Manhattan

This is a great place to go. You see the whole Manhattan skyline. It is breath taking. The best part about this is that it is free. A must see for people that are visiting NY.

We walked for several blocks along the Promenade. No issues at all with sketchy people...everyone was there to enjoy it and the views. All well maintained and lighted at night so it seemed safe (caution: always be aware of your surroundings in any city!!) and there were a lot of other people out just enjoying a walk along the banks... I was there for night and day view of Manhattan. It´s a must see! Easy to get by subway and walking around the neighborhood is also really pleasant.

The views of Manhattan from the promenade are simply amazing. It makes your mind wander and think of all the history and the 8 million stories that make up NYC.

This location is an awesome spot at night to think, relax and chill out. Having the city view from across the water is perfect. It gets crowded at night especially in the summer people are coming for the view of the city (tourists) thats expected. Other people walk their dogs along the Promenade.

The promenade has the most spectacular views of the Manhattan Skyline accros the Hudson river. At night the views become even more spectacular of the millions of lights of the skyscrapers. It feels like you are in wonderland. Below is the wonderfully new Brooklyn Park along the river's edge. Recommended in Spring, Summer and Fall. I go there often to... More

Just the night views alone is amazing. Walking up and down the promenade holding hands with that special someone in your life makes you feel better than watching your favorite movie at home.

I have gone down to the Promenade many times. It's the best in Spring and Fall or whenever the weather is not too extreme. It's always very windy, so take that into account! But the view across the river, which is always a little wild, is so stunning and so dramatic. If you've come to NYC to "see" Lower Manhattan,... More
