I visited with another mom and our two kids - a two year old and a four year old. We drove into Brooklyn from the suburbs. We had no problems parking on a street around the park. Shame there's no car park though. We have WCS Membership which includes this zoo as well as Central Park, the Bronx etc. This... More

The zoo is small and focuses on smaller animals like marmosets, prairie dogs, tamarins, toucans, red panda, and playful baboons, rather than on larger ones. The grounds and layout are perfect for strolling and looking. There is a petting farm area with pigs, sheep, goats and dwarf horses, an area attractive to children and where they can learn by observing,... More

So close to our house and easy to get to either by car or subway or bus this is a no brainer if you live anywhere in BK, but esp. in the Flatbush area and want to kill time with kids. There is more than enough to do to keep a youngster (and a fun loving adult) occupied for several... More

Place is good to take a young wonder. Great in taking class trips or even a family event. The seal at the entrance is an attraction,

The Prospect Park Zoo is a nice small zoo.My favorites are the sea lions. Make sure you get to see one of the feedings: 1130, 2 and 4. Another great exhibit is the Hamadrayas baboons, who have a nice size, natural looking setting with rocks and a waterfall. The petting zoo has sheep and goats. There are machines which dispense... The Prospect Park Zoo is very nice to visit mostly in the summer but I had a very nice time on a winter day. The zoo was packed with parents just wanting to get out of the house. They were celebrating Chinese New Year so they had all sorts of activities going on that day. The Chinese puppet show was... More

This is a great little zoo for the toddlers. The best time to go is in afternoon. Sea lion feeding was a very good entertainment. They have a small barn where children can feed the animals. They could offer more deals - price wise.

Lovely small zoo representing great value. Whilst the zoo may not have the big animals, it is beautifully laid out. All the animals are well looked after and it's well cared for. A great way to spend a couple of hours, as a single traveller, couple or family.
