People and dogs love it!

Great little park, beautiful trees, very dog-friendly; pick-up games, tennis courts, monuments, farmers' market, and lots of amazing restaurants!

Fort Greene is a classic Brooklyn neighborhood with tree-and-brownstone-lined blocks and home of the Brooklyn Academy of Music and locally-owned restaurants and shops. However, in recent years it has become overdeveloped and an influx of new, former Manhattan residents has made Fort Greene one of the most expensive places in Brooklyn to live.

Lots of choices of restaurants and bars and a very pleasant neighbourhood to stroll. Fort Greene Park is a beautiful small park too.

I stayed in Fort Greene on my last trip to NYC and I loved it! It's not too hipstery like other areas of Brooklyn and has some great little coffee places and shops including a great bookstore. The park is lovely too and best of all you aren't too far from Juniors Cheesecake. The people we met there were also... More

A great neighborhood for restaurants, bars, and culture. BAM is a special highlight, with film, theater, and music.

While in town for my son's college tour, we stayed at a friends' apartment on S. Oxford and Lafayette which is a block away from Fort Greene park Both of my sons had brought their skateboards so we hit the park and the surrounding area everyday. There is a great farmer's market everyweek too.

Not a huge park and a nice break from the streets and traffic around. Not bad, not great, but a good place for children to run and kick a ball. Wouldn't bust a gut to go back there, but if in the vicinity and wanted sun or room for children to run, would revisit.

I returned home for a visit after after 8 years. I cannot believe how much has changed. Although I know it is for the better the character of my neighborhood has changed. It will be interesting to see what is left of my old neighborhood in 10 years, if that much.

Many tourists never leave Manhattan but there are things to see in Brooklyn. Fort Greene has some beautiful old brownstones on tree lined streets that are not only peaceful but truly stunning. When you want to get away from the noise and congestion of Manhattan try Fort Greene in Brooklyn. When you go in the spring and summer make sure... More

Tree lined street, interesting architecture. Good restaurants and farmers market on saturday morning along the park. Try the restaurant on DeKalb ave or any of the new ones that keep popping up in the area.
