I previously didn't know much about George Washington Carver except that he found a lot of uses for peanuts. His life story was fascinating and inspirational. We happened to have lucky timing and arrived when many wildflowers were blooming in the woods. Be sure to...More

Great history lesson about a very talented man who overcame many obstacles. Well worth a stop. The road was closed due to bridge construction during our visit, so watch the detour signs.

This National Monument is totally free to visit - no pass required!! There was a nice facility with nice walking paths that tell all about the life of George Washington Carver. The park ranger at the front desk wasn't the friendliest nor very talkative when...More

It is hard to rank this place, since I visited it at the end of a two week trip. It was interesting to visit, but I wasn't as enticed with it as I probably would have been if I wasn't worn out from travel. I...More

I would give an hour for the trail if you are doing a leisurely stroll and another hr for the visitor's center.
