I hit the Silver City Museum at the entirely wrong time. The recreated Victorian parlor had been disassembled for a holiday party and most of the permanent exhibits had been removed in preparation for a January show (I was there the week before Christmas). I...More

An interesting story about one of mans first battles with nature, where man lost. Water will always find a way to run,and it sure did in Silver City...😊 It can be seen in 30-60 min

Although nothing in this museum is original, the historical information and dramatic photographs of the transition of Main Street to The Big Ditch are interesting and explain the town's strange sidewalks with their steps and ramps. A docent will clue you in on it all.More
