This was a moderately strenuous like. We are 60ish and in decent shape and the view from the top was gorgeous, but like others have said, there is a cell tower and some trees that do block the view. It was definitely worth the effort,...More

This is a 7.2 mile strenuous hike. The terrain varies as you climb about 1,900 feet. Probably shouldn’t have been our first hike this trip. Did see some wildlife; an unidentifiable bird, chipmunks galore and a squirrel, but no bears. Bear spray is recommended though....More

Wow! This trail is a little bit of a beast in the 2nd half of the hike. There are 5 large switchbacks that gain quite a bit of elevation. You should do this hike in the morning as there is not much shade and it...More

This was a moderately challenging hike with a few switch back. Because of the fire, the trees that would have usually shaded the trail are gone which is why hiking early in the day is a must. It's nice to eat lunch at the top...More

So while the trail itself was fine - nice views, foliage, etc. - this is defintiely not anywhere near list of top hikes in Glacier. It's long switchbacks with a decent incline and is more or less the same view up the whole mountain. There...More

The trail to Apgar Lookout is a steady up. I enjoyed coming out of the meadow and trees and seeing the vista. Also enjoyed seeing the same vista enlarge on the way up. I didn't get to the top - ran out of time. A...More

Did it on a very hot day, so it seemed longer than it was. We had enough water, but need to bring a lot. Great view from the top.

This hike was disappointing. It was a long slog with little reward. It paled compared to other lake-view hikes in the park. We decided we would rather have been down by Lake McDonald or over in the North Fork than looking at it from a...More

This is a trail hike with some great views on top, there can be down timber at times because of fire damage, but it's still a great hike. I have probably done the hike over ten times
