Nate's the hardest working tour guide in the canyon. Made sure we all got good shots on the photo tour. The canyon is incredibly crowded, even in the shoulder season. But Nate knew how to maximize our opportunities in the limited time we had.

They suggest 12 noon because of the angle of the sun. Rays of light shine through at that time. We went at 1:00pm did not see direct rays; but did have plenty light.

There are less daily tours during winter. You must use one of the Native American tour groups.
