Vermilion Cliffs aka The Wave is a bucket list site to see. That being said, be aware that there is a lottery you must win in order to enter the site. Only 20 people are allowed into the monument each day. You can enter the...More

I realize and appreciate the fact that they don't want massive amounts of people going to The Wave, but they could do tours like a lot of the other attractions here and accommodate more people. Only 25 are allowed per day and it's all on...More

My experience was from driving along the highway, marveling at the constantly changing scenery, stopping to take photos...didn't have time for hiking, but that would've been fantastic

Group of 4 of us won the lottery for permits to visit 'The Wave'. We booked Kyle from Circle Tours. He gave us a great whole day out, 7 hours hiking on a long way round to the wave, seeing lots of cool stuff like...More

We drove for miles and miles on route12 and highway 89. It was very scenic but not as wonderful as I expected it to be. The cliffs and the mountains become very redundant the more you see them.

We had a guide through White Pockets with Kyle the owner of Circle tours (vermilioncliffs.net) and it was great. Excellent photo opps and Kyle took you to the best spots for the nest shots being a photographer himself. It is reportedly not the most strenuous...More

In the afternoon light the cliffs are vermillion as promised. A great view going in either direction, west to the north rim, or east to Lee's Ferry. Some small and friendly motels and restaurants make a stay memorable.
