Horseshoe Bend is the intimate Grand Canyon experience (although technically located in Glen Canyon.) The trailhead to this 3/4 mile hike is located just outside of Page, Arizona. It overlooks one of the most spectacular views on the Colorado River, 4 miles south of the Glen Canyon Dam, and 7 miles north of mile zero of the Grand Canyon.

Not even a hike. You pull into parking lot and walk up a short hill to see it so I recommend for all ages. You could probably even wheel someone up in a wheelchair no problem. It’s a beautiful site to see

Horseshoe Bend is an incredible view and is quite close to Page itself, so it's easy to get to, and there's plenty of parking in the lot/the road when the lot fills (as it will). A very easy walk up to the canyon ledge; you...More

Pull into the parking lot, wear comfortable shoes. Trail is about 10 minutes to get to see the river. We took incredible pics at sunset, water was a little dark, but view was amazing. Went in January so not too crowded.

Super nice touristic place. Its a natural beauty worth visiting while in Page. But please beware once you arrive at the iconic place because there are no barriers...so be extra cautious, specially when visiting with kids.

Horseshoe Bend is spectacular. Has quickly become one of the most iconic images from the American Southwest and to see it in person will help you see why.

3pm is fine. It will be warm and there is a bit of an uphill hike to get to the viewing area. Bring water and wear a hat. Also... THERE IS NO RAILING ON THE EDGE! If you have little explorers keep a close eye on them.
