Horseshoe Bend is the intimate Grand Canyon experience (although technically located in Glen Canyon.) The trailhead to this 3/4 mile hike is located just outside of Page, Arizona. It overlooks one of the most spectacular views on the Colorado River, 4 miles south of the Glen Canyon Dam, and 7 miles north of mile zero of the Grand Canyon.

it was not easy to reach this point for us - couple in their early 60-s. We missed the very edge of excitement and the lookout point. Might be having a drone would help us to take pictures, ha-ha, not so sure that it is allowed though, may be next time, as we were afraid to get even close to... More

Truly remarkable! The view is breathtaking! Be very cautious when approaching the edge - it is really steep!

If you blink you will miss it. Just located near Page AZ you will find this amazing sight. Just a small walk up a hill and you will start seeing it. Walk down the hill and this grand sight pop's up.

Even though the weather was a bit rainy, there were probably hundreds walking down. The trail is downhill for about a half mile or so. That means you have to walk back up after. There is no guard rail and you are basically standing on a cliff, but oh, the shot is worth it. It is an iconic view that... More

This place is great and is only a short 10 min drive from the main area of Page. This view is iconic so expect to share it with many many people. The hike is a short half mile round trip with minimum elevation gain. The only tough part of the hike is that it's completely exposed to the sun, so... More

Just came back from Page Arizona. Thought I would give you my review of Horshoe Bend. It is literally about five minutes outside of Page. I went in February so there weren't big crowds in the early morning. The view is breathtaking as many have said. This is an easy hike and everyone… Everyone should do it. Plus, it's free.... More

We visited on a cold day in February and still managed to be very hot by the time we walked back to the car. Bring water and wear sunscreen. It is beautiful, but sort of scary how easily you can fall over. All the young people goofing around nearly gave me a heart attack (and I am only 36). The... More
