We always visit the arts and craft community when in Gatlinburg. Prices are very reasonable and many of the artists and artisans are present and willing to autograph prints, paintings, pottery, etc. Very friendly atmosphere.

If you assume this will be just corn dolls and whittled toys, you'll be wrong and miss a fun day exploring gallery after gallery for art from sculpture to paintings and more. Custom art glass, metal works, pottery, jewelry...you name it. Quality you'll be happy...More

It depends on the shops...each keep their own hours and seasons.

T I would only take muhee area is mostly pet friendly but many of the shops are small and crowded. I would only take my pet if it was small and well behaved.
