We were in Gatlinburg the day before the fires. We road the skyline ride up to the top of the mountain range. It has amazing views! We even saw some smoke from afar when we were on this ride. Who knew that hours later that...More

Don't be fooled by its cheap prices, this is not a nice place to visit. They haven't updated since the 1970s and the aerial lift isn't nice because they cram as many people in as possible. I would not recommend. Take the sky lift instead...More

First off I wish we had known to go to the station in downtown Gatlinburg and ride the tram up and experience the "park". We ended up wasting a ticket when the tram became too full and a member of our group decided to just...More

The tram ride up was nice and had beautiful views, but besides that nothing about this place was enjoyable. It was incredibly run down and tacky. It made us feel like we were trapped in a bad dream. Save your time and money and DO...More

We recently took the trip up to Ober Gatlinburg and while the sky ride was nice, there wasn't much at the top but a bunch of cheesy souvenir shops, some old arcade games, and an ice rink. I guess if you're desperately trying to entertain...More

Very nice experience. Especially riding in the Ober cable car. Lots to do when you get to the top. Love the chairlift that takes you even further up the mountain. So relaxing. Alot of fun for everyone.

There are plenty of things to do that could be an all day event. If you go be prepared open your wallet. Things are mostly separate. It's a nice place and fun for kids, but all the activities can be pricey.

This would be fine for families but my husband and I were disappointed in the lack of things to do. We are at the restaurant which was just ok.

Went there in the morning. There are six of us. Everyone enjoyed the gondola ride up and back, what a sight! From there we went on a ski lift to the top of the mountain. What a beautiful sight! There are shops, restaurants and many...More

The tram to the top of the mountain was pricey, but offered amazing views. Once you are at the top, be prepared to spend some money to do any of the activities!

You can take a purse with you on all the rides at Ober Gatlinburg except the mountain coaster. I am not positive about the water slide but lockers are available. Also, shoes with straps must be worn on the mountain... More

Actually, you can - if you don't mind it getting a bit wet. There are three water rides. Only one got us a bit wet. The other two - only a very little. My purse got a bit damp, but was fine.
