Even though I hate heights, my husband and I went up to see the view. Absolutely beautiful, and I wasn't nearly as scared on the actual lift as I thought.

It was very expensive for a non-stop ride. The view house at the top was still under construction so there was no stopping. The views were beautiful and the equipment was brand new.

We always ride the sky lift when in Gatlinburg. Really nice view once you get to the top. Also there’s a gift shop at the top. Very relaxing .

Very exciting and lovely to see all the things around, we even saw a baby bear playing below ! It was scarey at first because of the height but once started not so bad . Smooth ride and felt safe over all

Absolutely. You don't get off the skylift. If you may have trouble getting on, they can stop it, same as they do for older guests. The only exception would be altitude restrictions from your dr. :)

I was just there and saw tons of kids, but at a certain age, I'm sure they have to be accompanied with an adult. (probably 12 and under) But, it's a perfectly safe ride for all ages.
