Golf Review

Both courses are fun to play and generally in good shape. Golf staff could not be nicer or more accommodating. Nice place to play.

The course rating for the east course is much harder than the west. But, play both to enjoy the scenery. Lot's of poison oak on east side. Pin placements are as if the guy placing them, had a fight with his wife the night before. The rough is grown out, so have a spotter because it is tough to find... More

I was recently here for my 18 year old son's junior golf tournament. He has played many courses in his life and I have walked most of them with him. Even though it was February and the grass was dormant the course was in great shape. This is one of the nicest courses he has ever played. It was well... More

The Grandover is a best kept secret in Greensboro. The course has the feel of Ballantyne Resort (Charlotte, NC), but it is a little more secluded and challenging. The two courses, East and West, offer great views and fun holes. There was a lot of winter kill this year, but they jumped on it fast and the place plays great.... More

Course in poor condition. I felt I was playing in a desert. Grass was burned out in all fairways. I was really surprised since the NCAA Division III championship was just held on this course.

We golfed at end of season so course was turning brown but still in good shape and can tell that greenskeeper cares (don't know about pin placement on par 3 on back of only 70 yards, over a creek!) but tough once you get to greens. Lack of balls on range meant heading back to buy a very small bag.... More

Had not layer Grandover in several years. In spite of the hot humid weather it was a great day. The course was in perfect condition. The rough was high, greens and tee boxes in excellent shape. Outstanding driving range and practice facility. Very nice and efficient staff. Fair yet challenging layout. The in place infrastructure of this facility is truly... More

The east course is definitely nicer than the west course. More of a resort course feel. In great shape. But the maintenance crew were everywhere all the time. Had to wait on almost every hole while they did work. Worse, many of the holes are bordered by busy streets, the highway, construction areas. You won't find many quiet holes out... More

I would give it 5 stars bu the value for the money just is not quite there, but it is still a great course. It feels a little like you are paying for that gigantic resort and less for the golf course, but if you can find a deal or weekday, the course is very well maintained and worth the... More

Grandover Resort offers two courses, a couple of restaurants and a well stocked golf pro shop, as well as a well kept range and one of the best putting greens in the area. This course, like the West, offers an ever changing range of holes. Always in good condition with medium fast greens, this is the more challenging of the... More
