The NC Zoo in Asheboro is pretty much the gold standard for zoos anywhere, so the GSC should raise its game a bit given they are practically neighbors. We had a good time & enjoyed most of the exhibits, but some did seem oddly substandard...More

My husband and I visited this science center to kill some time in Greensboro before we had to drive to Charlotte. We are animal lovers so we were excited to see the zoo exhibits. The zoo was larger than I expected and had a lot...More

We were here the day after Thanksgiving (avoiding Black Friday crowds) and were concerned as we drove up as the parking lots were full. However the facility is large enough that it never felt crowded. It is clear that the Science center is dedicated to...More

The Greensboro Science Center is a hidden gem in the state. We've lived in the state for six years, and have only heard a few comments about the place. Curiosity got the best of us, and we spent most of a day there. It is...More

First let me say that we are members, and have been for 2 years. Next let me say we are taking a break. So my review will probably reflect that. You can only look at the same things so many times... This is a great...More

Great place to spend the day especially if you have children. Lots for them to do. It is growing by leaps and bounds. They have aquarium side, museum, food, and zoo part outside. It cost a little more than you might think. But worth it.

GSC has much to offer, not the least of which are the zoo and aquarium. There are interesting permanent exhibits as well as temporary ones. I often take out-of-town visitors here to spend an afternoon and invariably they are impressed with the facility. It is...More

Has great exhibits for all ages and knowledgeable staff members . My grandchildren are a boy (5) and a girl (11). They both enjoyed the center. Dinosaur display, penguins and petting the stingrays were big hits. Older children and adults will probably enjoy the ropes...More

They have done an amazing job spanning the aquarium and zoo. Aquarium exhibits are very well done with a variety of animals. Penguins and sharks are amazing. The zoo is small but very easy to see the animals.

Yes. You can check in their website for what they currently charges. If you have elementary school children, look into a membership.

The science center is a great hands on for the little ones. All my grandkids have loved it there. The zoo is fantastic for older ones as there is a lot of walking. Less hands on but more of an educational value.
