Nice self-guided tour of a critical battle in the Revolutionary War. The movie at the visitor's center was engaging and really helped set the stage for the walking tour; I understood what was going on much better since we had already seen the movie. It...More

I would suggest watching the film at the visitor center and then tour the park. It will require some walking but it is a beautiful area and deserves some time to read the plaques and it will bring back what you saw in the film.

The National Parks has done an awesome job with battlefield narratives. You can easily walk the park, map is a tad tough to follow to sight five when walking. Film, exhibits and battle video all well done, thank you National Parks services

We watched a short ( 10 minute) video explaining this battle I had never heard about. Afterwards we drove around the park reading the signs at each stop. Beautiful park with loads of walking and bike trails.

The walk around the lake was very romantic and a beautiful site to see! Especially in the fall with the color changing of the trees! Grounds are kept up very good as well! Nice visit!

Just got your question. Hope this answer isn't too late. I spent about 30 minutes there since I teach US History and the staff was overly accommodating to me. There is a brief film and the outside buildings.
