One of the major temples of Kerala dedicated to Lord Krishna. Well maintained and rituals carried out as per age-old traditions. The traditional prasad is the "Payasam" or white porridge or kheer. It is very special and requires an advance booking.

You will find a couple of temples in Alleppey. Large ones go in the evenings to find the local music and prayer ceremonies. Not places for photography as local devotees attend in large numbers.

very beautiful temple. Many devotees come in large number almost every days. Feels fresh and strong after spending some time at the temple.

An amazing temple with divine prasadam of special payasam, which is in great demand. Was full even during a supposedly lean season combined with lean hours.

Beautiful temple. Opens at 5pm in the evening, not sure about morning timings. Buy one cup of the paal payasam and bananas for dinner that day - blissful!

A must visit place while travelling to Alappuzha, just 14kms (15 mints) drive from town; exactly located in place name Ambalappuzha. Peaceful ambience, historical value, Lord Krishna's Darshan & the Pal Payasam (sweet pudding made of rice and milk) served from the temple, altogether you could experience the divinity at its best and get relaxed.
