The temple has a peaceful atmosphere. It is well known for its world famous paal payasam, which requires advance booking (in person). It is located 15 km from Alleppey

It is possible to visit the Ambalapuzha temple and return back to Alleppy in about 3 hours time if you leave early morning say around 6.30 am. I did not visit the St.Mary's church so can not give any information on that. All... More
