A very large temple in the typical kerala style. THis temple is associated with Guruvayoor Temple - the Krishna idol from Guruvayoor was kept in this temple during the invasion of Tipu Sultan.

This temple is about 18 kms away from Alleppey town and takes about 30 minutes to reach because of wild traffic. Be extremely careful if you drive in and around Kerala. Most of the people drive without traffic discipline. Beautiful Sri Krishna idol. The temple will be lit with Diyas in the evening all around on special days. Do not... More

It is a famous Krishna temple in Kerala. We had a good darshan as it was not very crowded. It also has a famous payasam.

Divine. Darshan. Prasadam. Payasam. Crowd management. Bare chested males. No mobiles or camera. Pay respect to old traditions.

It's located 15kms from Allepey. Accessible by bus train auto. We went in the late evening so missed the tastiest Paal payasam. The day we visited was Hunuman jeyanthi so Krishna was dressed up like Hanuman. It was so satisfying.
