Nice temple

The temple is nice, just located outside the Karla caves. The hike is fun, about 375 steps to climb. Shops all along the way.

Very crowded place and difficult to reach if you are with elderly travelers. A typical place with nothing to look forward to.

Place is nice and known for Ekvira devi. Also called/known as Karla. Caves/leni around this holy place are also good. One just has to ensure that there are 200+ steps with steep ascent to be passed through to reach the top of this holy place.

Karla caves and Ekvira Devi temple are in same location. A must visit temple but be prepared to climb few steps to reach. you can either start from base of the hill or there is a parking available at some height on the hill which will cut down some steps to climb.

The next day visitation of my journey Ekvira temple is a really good place, one can view a very beautiful scenery from the mountain above the temple. There is a way to reach there not very tough but not easy too have to be little careful rest things were and good enough to enjoy.

300 steps i climbed to reacj the temple. What a place.... it gives us tue peace of mind and truely makes us understand that god exists and the belief inspires uou to easily climb till there. The caves next to it has sone great ancient architecture, but jeeda to be taken care. Blessing for all

Ekvira temple is one of the oldest temple in lonavala. its worth visiting once. It is situated on the top of the mountain so we have to climb some steps to reach the temple. Also superb valley view from the place.

Best time to go here is monsoon. However I went during winters/navratri. This temple is situation on a mountain at Karla near Lonavala. One can reach Lonavala via train or bus and then take a local bus till Karla. However they would drop you away from the temple, either at Karla phata where there is a gate of the temple.... More

You can complete a 2 in 1 visit. There is first a Road Entry Ticket, then parking and then a separate ticket for visiting Karla caves, which is not worth as 70% is closed. The steps upward is populated with vendors selling flowers, sweets, chaas
