Thiruvalluvar has a huge importance in Tamil history. The statue stands majestically next to the Vivekannda rock and is a classic tribute to the great Thiruvalluvar. It;s currently undergoing renovation. It is indeed a sight to watch on your visit.

This magnificent statue of Thiruvalluvar the Tamil poet and philosopher has been erected on a rock adjacent to Vivekananda rock. One can see it quiet closely when going by ferry to the Vivekananda rock memorial. Gives good opportunity for photographs during sunrise and sunset.

The statue is under renovation at the moment. But it is still a huge presence in the middle of the sea.

This can be very nice to see from a distance, specially when you are taking the ferry ride to Vivekananda rock. However at this point some renovations are going on and couldn't really get a good clear view.

The statue is huge and must have been a challenging task to build but to some extent it has taken all the beauty out of Vivekananda Rock memorial

It is a huge statue near Vivekanand temple in the center of the sea. But we didn't go because of it was under construction.
