If you enjoy visiting historical sites you will enjoy Hampton Mansion. I like visiting local historical sites in or near my home and this was a great one. I learned quite a bit about the early residents.

The Hampton mansion and grounds are fabulous - 63 acres of park land containing historic buildings and gardens. Visit on Thursday through Sunday to get a tour of the mansion, which holds historically correct furnishings, many original to the house.

Another hidden gem of the National Park Service. Our tour docent was extremely knowledgeable about the house and its history. We'll be sure to return for some of the site's special events.

Are there any restaurants close by? I want to bring a group of 10 to 15 senior citizens and they no longer have the Tea Room at the Mansion.
