Staff was very helpful and the information was limited. Watched a short film on the trails that presented information we did not know. Wife's great-great uncle founder of the Santa Fe trail.

My wife and I made this our first stop on a tour of the Oregon Trail to Oregon City, OR, and we were not disappointed. Small but informative, and the staff was very helpful!

A compact museum about the frontier trails - with Conestoga wagons, artifacts left along the trails, and pioneer accounts. Very family oriented.

Spent about an hour viewing exhibits and seeing film. Senior cost $5, adult $6. It was worth the money and time spent as it has a great collection of memorabilia depicting the trek to the west.

This is a nice place. The old fashion store display was neat. They had a gift shop with books, candy, small toys, etc. The tour guide did an excellent job telling about the history. I am glad I got to visit.

It had interesting artifacts and information..I don't think it is worth $6 fee for the size of the museum..the store had cheap looking products for sale..I was disappointed

The museum presents the story of westward expansion, much of which started in western MO. Several of the important trails ran through Independence. The museum is fully wheelchair accessible. The exhibits attempt to tell the story from several perspectives. No matter who you were the...More
