The location is simply superb and there is ample parking place and after your visit to the tea factory you can relax at the cozy restaurant where you are served complimentary tea . There are many varieties of ceylon tea being sold here which is quite expensive. This place is worth a visit.

For tea factory tour, or to purchase teas, or to have lunch, this place is overall really great. Must visit. The gardens are charming, and what a breath taking view of the mountains and rolling mist. The restaurant is cozy, with good selection of food. I loved the Iced Tea here, one of the best I've had anywhere.

First of all - it´s free of charge - big plus! You´ll get a guide who explains every step of the tea manufacturing - from collecting leaves to drying & shredding, different tea types etc - quite interesting! After that you can go into the restaurant and have a gratis tea and you can tip your guide - or not,... More

A guide will show you through the manufacturing stages of the tea. The tour is less than 30 mins and there's a free brew afterwards. It's customary to give a small tip and well appreciated. Tea is expensive in all the factories - but it's excellent quality.

A kind lady gave us a tour, she spoke fluent english and showed us from stage 1 all the way to the packaging stage of their tea factory! we then went to the gift shop area for a cuppa free tea and bought some teabags home too. Tour was fairly short though.

Unfortunately they were closed by the time we arrived - don't travel over Sri Lankan New Year (April 13-15) as most people close the factories due to the holidays, however the coffee shop and tea store was open and the guy inside explains the variations of tea. The store was also inexpensive when compared to mackwood (now called browns) so... More

This was a good place to experience the tea growing and process. We were shown around by a knowledgable local guide and her English was excellent. We tipped her a few hundred rupees at the end. You can see the basic leaves and how they are turned into different varieties of orange pekoe black tea. There is a shop where... More

Nice place to visit for lunch (get stuck in the buffet and you will need an hour to recover after!) The tea factory is still working - the many "no picture" boards are hilarious when the guide tells you to take pictures. A nice tea shop - great view amongst the hill tops. What more does one need.
