This is a must see whilst in Sri Lanka. The scenery in the tea plantation area is out of this world. You will see the ladies busily picking their quota for the day- no mean feat! A visit to the factory then shows the whole process of producing the tea we then buy. A nice cup of tea and a... More

On my way back with my beloved from Nuwareliya, we had a cup of tea with a piece of chocolate cake in a rainy evening. Both are finger licking taste. Whoever pass Labookellie must try.

We visited the tea factory as part of our holiday in Sri Lanka. This was the WORST place we have visited, the tour lasted less than 10 minutes followed by a visit to the visitors shop. To add insult to injury we travelled over an hour in each direction for this very poor uniformative visit. Best to avoid.

We were on our way from Kandy to take the train to Ella, and this was a planned stop on the way. We'd been to tea factories in India, Mauritius and also here in Sri Lanka. So we were delighted that the organised tour for us was short and to the point. Then we sat on the large balcony by... More

Everything you want to know about the tea industry in Sri Lanka! Nice tour and free samples of tea in a wonderful setting. One of the better tea estates to visit. No need for reservations; just drop in. Tours and sample tea are free.

Stunning Views of the tea plantations. Good English speaking guide. Tea was served with a slice of chocolate cake which was delicious! Tour of the place was free therefore visitors only have to give a small token of gratitude to the guide which we were more than happy to do. No pushy staffs to force us to buy products. Tea... More

We just stopped there while on a scooter ride. We didn't have to eait to visit. Somebody came directly to take care of us. The tour was given by the lady who sold the tea inside the shop. She spoke perfect English and answered patiently to all our questions. After the tour she wasn't pushy to sell her stuff and... More

If you love tea, you'll be disappointed. We heard this was the only tea factory open to the public, so we went. Of course most of the facility is closed off, only a small guided tour is available that barely scratches the surface. Very little to see and less to learn. Nothing distinguished the very pricey tea in the shop... More
