We've been here a number of times in our RV, but never in December. It is chilly and pretty deserted, but as always, great sites with all the amenities and friendly, helpful park staff. There was a burn ban when we arrived, but with a...More

nice big sites. It has the clearest lake water i have ever seen. There is a neat 2 mile trail to hike to a waterfall and some other trails too. There is plenty of docks and places to play. Just relaxing environment.

I traveled here in September 2017. I decided to split this vacation between Lake Catherine SP and Petit Jean SP. I could easily have just stayed here as I had the most perfect RV spot literally steps away from the lake. The site was shady...More

We hiked this park the day after hiking much of the Sunset Trail the day before (Hot Springs National Park). There are 3 trails approximately 2, 4 and 5 miles long with a small amount of overlap between them (about 1/2 mile). The long trail...More

We were delighted that AR state parks are free. They are supported by a 1/8 cent sales tax. We hiked to the "falls" but never found it and the trail was difficult for us (seniors). Enjoyed it!

Pulled an RV in here and enjoyed the quiet scenery. It's a notch off the beaten patch, yet not too far from Downtown Hot Springs. We'll be back!

Absolutely loved this park. Lots of trees, roomy full hook-up sites. Rented a pontoon boat from the marina and could pull it right up to the dock by our RV. Swimming beach. The place reminded me of summer camp when I was a kid. Would...More

Took the hike to the popular waterfall. It was a pretty easy hike but you still need closed toe tennis shoes and clothing other than a swimsuit. If you don't want to hike, just go in at the end of the trail to see the...More

Pets are allowed in the park but only a few cabins allow them inside. Also, they must be on a leash. I will be staying in Cabin #4 in November and will be bringing my dog.

Don't go for the waterfall now - it is dry (early October 17). The ranger we saw said it is often dry at the end of the summer - spring is best time (after all the rain of course).
