Lake and rec area is closed (October 2014). Water levels low. Campground in rough shape and only had 3 campsites ( 1 was host?) Save your time and dont drive out there expecting to be pleased. No cell service for ATT.

I was a young girl and have a very fond memory of a natural rock slide with rushing water that ended in a small wade pool. Lots of fun kids. I hope to visit again.

This is a charming little lake located about an hour outside of Little Rock. It is quiet and very peaceful with everything you could want for camping. It has a campground with city water and electric hookups for RVs and 2 bathhouses in the campground. There is a really nice swimming area and a bathhouse on the other side and... More

I actually love Lake Sylvia. It is far more than average, but as a lake it is not much. What I am saying is that this forest service property is beautifully sited on the Ouachita Trail , with campgrounds and bathroom facilities and there is swimming in the pea-green colored lake in the summer. It's a great site to visit... More

Beautiful setting - small lake with campgrounds surrounded by National Forest. Most campgrounds are Class A with water and electricity. Great swimming area. Only 30 minutes from Little Rock.

Hiked the Lake Sylvia Trail starting on the one lane road just past the camping sites and took the trail to the south. Fall colors are starting and the leaves lined the trail in bright colors. Trail started very easy but gradually increased in intensity. Adding big and small rocks and fallen trees to climb over added a great element... More
